Working closely with the General Manager on all club issues,
responsible for the general safety and operation of the two pools, pavilion,
playground area and tennis facilities.
Taking ownership in the Club and ensuring the pools and
related facilities are properly maintained:
Keeping the club facilities clean and in top condition.
Performing hourly inspections of club facilities, with
particular emphasis on the locker rooms and restrooms.
Reporting maintenance requirements to the General Manager
and/or cleaning service.
Ensuring Club is adhering to all health and safety
standards set by the City of Stamford and the State of Connecticut.
Ensuring pool area is properly secured at end of the day.
Communicating with General Manager and/or responsible Board
member on all staff personnel issues.
Enforcing Club rules and regulations as set in the club
directory.
Maintaining a complete and timely accident report log, and
following up on all accidents.
Major accidents should be reported to Insurance &
Safety Chairperson within 24 hours.
Administering and/or overseeing proper minor first aid to Club
members, guests and staff.
Assisting in the coordination of special programs and
events.
Responsible (along with the General Manager and guard staff)
for closing the pool facilities due to bad weather, health issues, etc., and
properly communicating with Club membership.
Responsible for assisting the General Manager and Aquatics
Director in overseeing the lifeguard staff.
Handling all external issues with neighbors, law
enforcement officials, city government officials, etc. while on duty.
Required skills and knowledge:
Demonstrated management skills.Club management experience a plus.
Ability to work independently within established policies
and procedures.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Outgoing personality. Able to approach all Club members,
guests, and fellow employees in a gracious, attentive, courteous and
service-oriented manner.
CPR/First Aid certification. (Club will arrange training
for qualified candidates if needed)
Compensation:
$20 per hour
Hours:
Pre-season (May 29, 2010 - June 18, 2010)
Fridays: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturdays: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Season (June 19, 2010 - September 1, 2010 )
Monday - Saturday: 3:30pm - 8:30pm
Exceptions: Some closing hours will be extended beyond 8:30pm
for Club social events. Hours are subject to change due to school calendar and
Assistant Manager's outside work and personal commitments.
